Contact Lens Exam

Are you tired of dealing with glasses and thinking of making the switch to contact lenses? The first step in this process is scheduling a contact lens exam at one of our convenient locations in Mt. Pleasant, St. Louis, Carson City, or Alma, Michigan. During this exam, our eye doctor will not only determine your prescription but also ensure that contact lenses are a safe and suitable option for you.

If you’ve been told in the past that you can’t wear contact lenses due to a specific eye issue, don’t give up hope just yet! Our team offers a wide range of specialty contact lenses designed to address various eye conditions. Whether you need toric lenses for astigmatism or multifocal lenses for presbyopia, we have options to meet your unique needs.

Why you need a contact lens exam

Contact lens exams are not the same as comprehensive eye exams. Comprehensive eye exams check your vision and your overall eye health while contact lens exams help ensure the most comfortable fit possible for your lenses. Even if you have been wearing contacts for years without any issues, changes in your prescription or eye health can occur over time. By scheduling regular contact lens exams at one of our eye clinics, you can stay ahead of any potential problems and ensure that your contacts are still providing the best possible vision.

What to expect during a contact lens exam

If you currently wear contact lenses, we’ll carefully examine your eyes to ensure your contact lenses still fit properly and aren’t affecting your eye health. If you’re new to contact lenses, our eye doctor will take precise measurements of your eyes to ensure a proper fitting. This includes measuring the curvature of your cornea and the size of your pupil and iris. To accurately measure this curvature, we may use corneal mapping technology to create a highly detailed map of the corneal surface.

Once the contact lens fitting is complete, we’ll show you how to insert, remove, and take care of your contact lenses. We may also schedule a follow-up appointment to see if your contact lenses are working for you or if you need to try a different pair.

  • 50% off a complete pair of eyeglasses after you use your vision insurance on your contacts.
•  Highest manufacturer rebates for contact lenses on orders of 6 month or 1-year supplies of contact lenses.
•  Free pair of polarized sunglasses with the purchase of a 1-year supply of contact lenses.
•  Direct shipment of contact lenses to your home.
•  If your prescription changes, we will exchange with the new prescription for free,
( as long as the boxes of contacts are not damaged ).
•  Free contact lens follow-ups.

Maggie Ross

I just visited Pleasant Optics for the first time and I had a lovely experience. Everyone was extremely kind and friendly, and I will definitely visit again. I was especially pleased with the fact that they went over my eye scans with me and answered every question I had because that has not been my experience at previous eye doctors.

Janae Miller
